I personally love all things holiday themed. But, what’s even better is that my students LOVE all things holiday themed too! They get so excited and engaged in whatever it is when it’s themed.
At this point in the year, my 4th graders have worked so hard on perfecting expository essays. I don’t want to just keep giving them boring, and sometimes not very meaningful, writing prompts. So, I put together something a little more fun and festive!
I created 4 different STAAR formatted expository prompts that cover all things St. Patrick’s Day! They cover luck, four-leaf clovers, friendship, and pots of gold! I also created 5 St. Patrick’s themed daily fix-it sentences for my students to practice editing and their grammar skills. We typically do daily fix-it sentences each day, but these St. Patrick’s Day themed ones are just a little extra fun!
